Entry Level Production Operator

Basic Overview of Position

Motivated Individual who can assist in daily production tasks. One who is hardworking and team oriented.  This individual will be part of the Production team which is held responsible for: ensuring Animix is producing high quality products while also meeting customer specifications. Additionally, they will be responsible for working independently and accurately by following Animix policies and procedures. The ability to communicate effectively with other Animix team members. Entry level production employees will learn and effectively operate 1-3 mixer systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• To execute all daily production duties as required to fulfill production schedule
• Read execute production schedule
• Read and execute work instructions
• Accurately select ingredients, weigh out and record information on bar code scanner
• Load mixers and packaging equipment
• Package finished products according to work instructions
• Complete all necessary paperwork and create inventory with bar code scanner
• Maintain cleanliness of plant as directed
• Assist in providing a clean and safe work environment
• Assist in other areas as necessary
• Follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and HACCP guidelines and regulations

• Comfortable with dusty environment
• No known allergies to milk ingredients
• Organizational skills
• Ability to multitask

Organizational Interfaces

The Entry Level Production Operator reports directly to the Plant Supervisor.

Education and Work Experience

• Prior experience in a Production Operator position (preferred)
• Highschool or equivalent

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

     (Includes certifications, licenses, equipment, applications, other technology, etc.)

Forklift experience and/or Forklift Certification preferred

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Must be comfortable and safe in all Animix locations which may be production locations, etc.
