Animix review of calf-focused abstracts presented at the 2023 ADSA Annual Meeting in Ottawa, Ontario.

This is a review of 162 calf-focused abstracts presented at the 2023 ADSA Annual Meeting that occurred this past summer in Ottawa, Ontario. Fortunately, Bethany Dado-Senn Ph.D. of Vita-Plus agreed to review half of the content. Bethany brought many improvements in organizing the data and making it more concise and user-friendly. Please note we categorized the abstracts into the following broad categories; nutrition (n=38 abstracts), maternal-fetal (n=38), health (n=28), physiology (n=9), management (n=23), behavior and welfare (n=16), and beef x dairy/veal (n=10). I’m grateful to Bethany for equally sharing the burden of this review, and I think users of this resource will appreciate her improvements.
